Recently Disney Parks has announced a special Club Penguin Island themed event at Disney's Blizzard Beach on July 29th. This event is in conjunction with the event of the same name happening in the Club Penguin Island app. The Disney Parks website details the event:
Joe from the Club Penguin blog confirmed that Mt. Blizzard was inspired by Disney's Blizzard Beach. The Snow Stormer and Summit Plummet, the two Snow Tubing tracks atop Mt. Blizzard in Club Penguin Island, are both slides at Disney's Blizzard Beach. Yet, the similarities don't stop there. Mt. Blizzard and Blizzard Beach are similar down to the name. Blizzard Beach is a winter themed water park resort, and to an extent, so is Mt. Blizzard- minus the water park element. Still, it's interesting to know the real world inspirations behind Club Penguin Island's locations.
Club Penguin posted a sneak peek of a mysterious vehicle that somewhat resembles a ski lift. I decided to mention it here because it may be apart of a future Mt. Blizzard update in 1.5 with Blizzard Beach, but only time will tell. As for the updates; as a fan of summer parties: I am somewhat excited for these updates. Maybe this will be enough to bring me back to the game.
Guests visiting Disney’s Blizzard Beach on July 29 will have the chance to participate in lots of Club Penguin Island-themed activities such as a penguin splash competition in the Ski Patrol area, coloring contests, a ‘snowball’ toss with water balloons, and much more!
